Akshar Spintex Limited runs a single cotton yarn spinning mill at Kalavad in Jamnagar district, Gujarat, sited in the Shankar-6 cotton belt about 250 km from Kandla port for easy access to raw cotton. The mill spins natural cotton (Shankar-6, MCU-5, DCH-32, MECH-1, J-34), BCI-certified and organic-certified cotton, and viscose, modal and excel fibers into carded, semi-combed, combed, slub, core-spun, TFO, melange, blended and other yarns across a 16s to 44s Ne count range. Production runs on German and Japanese spinning machinery, with an administrative office maintained separately in Rajkot.
