What Bharat Coking Coal Limited does
Bharat Coking Coal Limited mines raw coal from its collieries and processes part of it through its own coal washeries into washed coking coal graded as Prime Coking Coal (PCC) and Medium Coking Coal (MCC). Raw coal is sold mainly under long-term Fuel Supply Agreements (FSA) to power and steel public-sector customers such as DVC, NTPC, SAIL, RINL, HPGCL and UPRUVNL, with the balance sold through e-auction, while washed coal and other by-products are marketed separately. The company also earns a 6% revenue share from the PB Project mine, which it does not operate directly but which runs under a mine developer-cum-operator (MDO) arrangement, and has added captive solar power generation at its sites. It listed on the BSE and NSE on 19 January 2026.
