What Gujarat Themis Biosyn Limited does

Gujarat Themis Biosyn Limited manufactures fermentation-based pharmaceutical intermediates (Rifamycin-S and Rifamycin-O) and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients used in anti-tuberculosis and anti-infective drug formulations, selling in bulk to domestic and international pharmaceutical formulators, often through tender-driven orders. It operates from a single fermentation-and-synthesis-based plant in Vapi, Gujarat, and is forward-integrating into API manufacturing and new molecule R&D to serve regulated export markets such as the US and Europe. The company is part of the Themis group of companies (co-located with promoter Themis Medicare Limited) and has no subsidiaries, associates or joint ventures of its own. In April 2026 it signed an agreement to acquire Sanofi's global anti-TB and anti-infective branded generics portfolio, an asset-light deal intended to give it direct access to international markets, pending antitrust and FDI approvals.
