Omkar Speciality Chemicals Limited manufactures specialty chemicals and intermediates for the chemical and allied industries, with product lines spanning API intermediates, Iodine Derivatives, Selenium Derivatives, Resolving Agents and other specialty intermediates. Manufacturing is spread across 8 units — four in Badlapur (Thane) and the rest in Chiplun, Ratnagiri and Mahad, Maharashtra — backed by an in-house R&D centre focused on new product development and continuous process upgradation. The company exports to more than 38 countries across Europe, Canada, Asia, South America and Australia. Its erstwhile Veterinary API business was demerged in 2016 into a separately listed entity, Lasa Supergenerics Ltd (later renamed Lasa Laboratories Ltd).
