What Raj Rayon Industries Limited does
Raj Rayon Industries manufactures man-made polyester fibers — Polyester Chips, Partially Oriented Yarn (POY), and Drawn Textured Yarn (DTY) — at a single vertically integrated plant in Silvassa, Dadra & Nagar Haveli. It earns by selling polyester yarn and chips to fabric and garment makers across India, with a steady order flow from its promoter group's affiliate SVG Fashions, which converts the yarn into knitted fabrics, furnishing fabrics and ready-made garments for brands such as Skechers, Reliance Retail, Adidas and Puma. Incorporated in 1993, the company changed ownership and underwent a complete operational overhaul under the SVG Group starting 2021, restarting production in January 2023 followed by two successive capacity expansions at the Silvassa plant.
