What Wockhardt does

Wockhardt is a global research-led healthcare company operating across three lines: novel antibiotic discovery targeting antimicrobial resistance, an integrated diabetes-biosimilars franchise spanning human insulin and insulin analogues, and branded/specialty pharmaceuticals sold in India and international markets including the UK, Ireland and emerging markets. It earns by manufacturing and selling branded generic drugs and specialty injectables through its own facilities and country subsidiaries (including UK-based Pinewood), and by licensing/commercializing its novel antibiotic pipeline, most notably Zaynich, which became the first Indian-discovered drug to receive US FDA approval.
