Hindustan Organic Chemicals Limited (HOCL) is a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, engaged in manufacturing Phenol, Acetone and Hydrogen Peroxide at its Ambalamugal (Kochi) unit in Kerala, which is the company's only functioning manufacturing unit. Its products serve end-use sectors such as dyes & pigments, agrochemicals and pharmaceuticals companies. The company has recently initiated manufacture of Acetophenone to add to its product range. It also holds a subsidiary, Hindustan Fluorocarbons Limited, which the Government has directed to close and is in the process of delisting.
