What Cochin Minerals does

Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited manufactures synthetic rutile, a titanium-dioxide feedstock, at its factory in the Edayar Industrial Development Area, Aluva, Kerala. As part of the same production process, the company also produces and markets water-purifying chemicals such as ferric chloride, ferrous chloride and other by-products. The company commenced commercial production in 1993 and has since scaled up its synthetic rutile plant capacity from 10,000 TPA to 50,000 TPA using indigenous technology and plant and machinery.
