What Dai-ichi Karkari does
Dai-ichi Karkaria develops and manufactures performance chemical additives — surfactants, esters, phosphates and polymers — using processes such as ethoxylation, propoxylation, sulfation, sulfosuccination and quarternisation. It runs two manufacturing plants, at Dahej (Gujarat) and Kurkumbh (Maharashtra), supplying customised formulations to industries including oilfield chemicals, agrochemicals, home & personal care, paints & coatings, textiles, and water treatment. Its manufacturing traces back to 1963, begun in technical collaboration with Japan's Dai-ichi Kogyo Seiyaku, and the company continues to co-develop and commercialise new products with customers each year.
