Bondada Engineer Q4 FY26
What went well
- FY26 revenue grew to INR 2,843 crores, maintaining a 90-95% CAGR over the last three years.
- Strong order book of INR 7,147 crores as of March 31, 2026, with 65% from renewable energy and 1,463 crores from BESS.
- Secured INR 2,850 crores in L1 orders expected to convert in Q1 FY27, indicating robust pipeline conversion.
What to watch
- Q4 FY26 saw a slight dip in margins due to billing of some low-margin projects and increased material costs (steel, cable) by 17-18% in the last quarter.
- Management acknowledged avoiding certain BESS tenders due to unviable pricing and reverse auction thresholds, potentially missing some market share.
What Bondada Engineer does
Bondada Engineering is a diversified engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company that also runs operations & maintenance (O&M) and build-own-operate (IPP/BOO) businesses across renewable energy (solar and battery energy storage), telecom infrastructure, Indian Railways signalling, data centres, and defence & aerospace. It earns by executing turnkey EPC and O&M contracts for clients such as Reliance Jio, Airtel, BSNL, MAHAGENCO and BHEL, while also manufacturing its own inputs -- AAC blocks, telecom towers, solar mounting structures, uPVC/aluminium profiles, LED lighting and BLDC motors -- through in-house facilities in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Separately, it builds and holds solar and BESS assets on a build-own-operate basis for recurring income once commissioned. Originally incorporated in 2012 as a telecom EPC contractor, it has since diversified into a multi-sector infrastructure group headquartered in Hyderabad.
