What Sterlite Technologies Limited does

Sterlite Technologies (STL) designs, manufactures and supplies optical fibre, optical fibre cables, specialty cables and optical connectivity products used to build telecom, data-centre and broadband networks. It sells to four customer segments — telcos, data-centre and cloud operators, citizen (government broadband) networks, and large enterprises — earning revenue from product sales as well as network deployment/solutions contracts. Its subsidiary STL Digital separately offers digital engineering and IT services to enterprise clients. The company operates a network of advanced manufacturing facilities and holds an active patent portfolio behind its fibre and connectivity innovations.
