What ITI Limited does
ITI Limited is a Central Public Sector Undertaking under India's Department of Telecommunications that manufactures telecom and defence communication equipment and executes large national connectivity programs. It runs manufacturing and project-execution units at Bengaluru, Mankapur, Naini, Palakkad, Raebareli and Srinagar, producing 4G network equipment (eNodeBs, RRHs, BBUs), optical fibre cables, GPON OLT/ONT devices, encryption systems for defence, solar street-lighting systems and outdoor telecom cabinets. Beyond manufacturing, it undertakes turnkey execution of government programs such as BharatNet rural broadband, the BSNL 4G rollout and the defence ASCON communication network, and also supplies IT hardware, e-governance systems, testing/certification services and space-electronics fabrication for ISRO missions.
