What Akanksha Power does
Akanksha Power and Infrastructure Ltd (APIL) designs, manufactures and supplies Power Quality Solutions (PQS) — shunt/pulse/surge capacitors, series and de-tuned reactors, vacuum contactors, and current, potential and residual-voltage transformers — to utilities, DISCOMs, PSUs, EPC contractors and industrial customers in sectors such as power transmission & distribution, steel, cement, oil & gas and mining. It has also built an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) business making smart electricity and water meters, power-quality analyzers and data-management/distribution-management software under the MITL/UDREAM branding. In FY2025-26 it acquired, relocated and commissioned a Medium Voltage capacitor manufacturing line and technology from TDK (Japan), and took a 55% stake in Famous Power Ltd to enter solar and wind renewable-energy projects.
