What Avadh Sugar does

Avadh Sugar & Energy operates four sugar mills in the cane-rich belt of Uttar Pradesh (Seohara, Hargaon, Rosa and Hata), crushing sugarcane into white and refined sugar. It runs an integrated distillery that converts cane juice, B-heavy and C-heavy molasses into ethanol supplied to oil marketing companies under the government's blending programme, and co-generation plants that use bagasse to produce power for captive use and grid export. The company sources cane directly from a large farmer base near its units, and sells sugar through a pan-India network of wholesalers, brokers and sub-brokers.
