Rising production costs, low productivity and volumes, obsolete plant & machinery, and the high capital cost of the technological upgrade needed to stay viable led the company to keep the Ambivali factory's production activities in abeyance since January 2023, and it formally discontinued paper and paper-board manufacturing there during FY25. The company currently earns from trading activities in sustainable plastic and packaging materials and is examining new business areas to redeploy its existing resources.
