What Chemfab Alkalis Limited does

Chemfab Alkalis operates an integrated chlor-alkali plant in Puducherry that converts brine drawn from its own captive salt fields into caustic soda (lye and flakes) and related chemicals such as liquid chlorine, hydrochloric acid, hydrogen gas and sodium hypochlorite, sold to industries including aluminium, paper and pulp, soaps and detergents, and pharmaceuticals. Since 2018 it has also manufactured Oriented PVC (OPVC) pipes at a dedicated plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, under a technology partnership with Spain's Molecor, supplying pipes across a 110mm-630mm diameter range mainly for government water-infrastructure schemes such as the Jal Jeevan Mission.
