EIH Q1 FY27
What went well
- Revenue of ₹698 crores, up 15% YoY, driven by strong domestic demand.
- EBITDA at ₹207 crores, up 6% YoY.
- RevPAR for all hotels grew 13% YoY from ₹11,352 to ₹12,801.
What to watch
- EBITDA margin impacted by Rajgarh ramp-up, higher marketing spend, IT expenditure, renovation write-offs, and increased power/fuel costs.
- Oberoi brand RevPAR growth (8.2%) was lower than the luxury segment (13.2%), partly due to the West Asia crisis impacting foreign arrivals and Rajgarh's stabilization phase.
What EIH does
EIH Limited, the flagship company of The Oberoi Group, owns and manages luxury hotels, resorts and cruisers under the 'Oberoi' and 'Trident' brands across six countries. It earns revenue primarily from room stays and food & beverage at these properties, supplemented by flight catering (via Oberoi Flight Services, which began operations in 1957 as India's first flight kitchen), travel planning and airport lounge services. The group also runs the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development, founded in 1967, to train hospitality staff.
