What Elpro International Limited does

Elpro International operates across three distinct verticals: real estate development and leasing on its land bank in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune; manufacture of high- and low-voltage surge arresters, zinc oxide discs and surge-protection devices under GE-licensed technology at its Chinchwad works; and a minority equity investment in PNB MetLife Insurance, a life-insurance joint venture between MetLife Inc. and Punjab National Bank. The real-estate arm monetises its holding through outright sale of residential and mall space alongside long-term lease of office, industrial and factory-rooftop area, while the manufacturing arm supplies surge-protection equipment to power generation and distribution, railway, telecom, solar and wind-energy customers. Manufacturing operations at the company commenced in 1962.
