It also serves heavy-duty, motorcycle, energy, power-generation, railway and defence applications. The company operates as a subsidiary of US-based Tenneco Inc. (successor to erstwhile parent Federal-Mogul LLC) and runs in-house technical/R&D centres developing low-friction rings and advanced gasoline pistons for fuel-economy, emissions and durability requirements.
