What GTL Infrastructure Limited does
GTL Infrastructure builds, owns and manages passive telecom infrastructure — towers, shelters and power backup systems — which it leases to mobile network operators under long-term sharing (co-location) agreements, earning tower and energy-service fees per tenancy. This shared-infrastructure model lets telecom operators avoid building their own towers, shifting their spend from capital expenditure to an operating cost. Incorporated in 2004, the company was the first independent tower company in India to be listed on the stock exchanges.
