What National Fertilizers Limited does
National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) is a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Government of India that manufactures and markets urea and other fertilizers under its established 'Kisan' brand. It operates five urea manufacturing plants — at Nangal and Bathinda in Punjab, Panipat in Haryana, and Vijaipur-I and Vijaipur-II in Madhya Pradesh — and also produces industrial chemicals such as nitric acid, ammonium nitrate, sodium nitrate and sodium nitrite. Beyond its own manufacturing, NFL trades in other fertilizers (DAP, MOP, NPK and related agri-inputs) and markets 100% of the urea produced by its joint-venture plant, Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL), in Telangana. It sells through a pan-India network of a central marketing office, four zonal offices and thousands of dealers, reaching farmers across 20 states and 3 union territories.
