What Ola Electric Mobility Limited does
Ola Electric designs, manufactures and sells electric scooters (S1 family) and electric motorcycles (Roadster family) in India through a direct-to-consumer model, earning primarily from vehicle sales. It has vertically integrated backward into battery cells through its own Gigafactory, initially to supply its own vehicles and, over time, external cell and energy-storage customers under the Shakti and Mahashakti brands. Vehicles run on its proprietary MoveOS software platform, which enables over-the-air feature updates. Manufacturing takes place at the Ola Futurefactory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, alongside the Gigafactory and Battery Innovation Centre on the same EV Hub campus.
