Shakti Pumps (India) Limited is an integrated manufacturer of solar and electricity-operated submersible pumps, motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs)/inverters and solar structures, with in-house R&D, design and development capability. It earns primarily by supplying pump systems to state government agricultural electrification schemes (including PM-KUSUM, where it is one of the largest beneficiaries), and by selling to industrial, OEM, retail and export customers through a dealer and service-centre network. The company has diversified into new adjacent businesses — electric-vehicle motors, controllers and chargers (via subsidiary Shakti EV Mobility) and solar rooftop systems — and is backward-integrating into solar DCR cells and PV modules. It also operates internationally through wholly owned subsidiaries in the US, UAE and Bangladesh and a branch office in Uganda.
