Cenovus Energy (CVE) Q3 FY25 earnings call

Earnings call· Sep 2025 (Q3 FY25)· Energy· Oct 31, 2025

Source: earnings call transcript

Cenovus hit the inflection point it had guided to, converting multi-year growth investment into record upstream and U.S. refining output while wrapping West White Rose commissioning. With growth capital rolling off into 2026, a fully-owned downstream after the WRB monetization, and the transformational MEG acquisition set to close in November, management's stance is disciplined, balance-sheet-first growth that funds stepped-up buybacks now and rebalances toward deleveraging post-close.
