What John Cockerill does

John Cockerill India Limited engineers, designs, manufactures, erects and commissions equipment and technology lines for the steelmaking and steel-processing industry, including cold rolling mills, continuous annealing and galvanising lines, pickling lines and acid regeneration plants. It is the Indian arm and designated manufacturing/execution hub of the Belgium-headquartered John Cockerill Group's global Metals business, serving steel producers such as Tata Steel, Jindal, JSW and ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel. Beyond new-build project execution, it also earns from a Revamps, Spares & Services business that upgrades, maintains and decarbonises existing customer plants over their lifecycle. Following the January 2026 consolidation, it also owns John Cockerill Metals International (Belgium), which in turn holds Metals-business entities in China, Germany and (prospectively) the USA.
