What Archean Chemical Industries Limited does

Archean Chemical Industries processes natural sea brine at integrated coastal sites in Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh into industrial salt, bromine and sulphate of potash (SOP), selling to chlor-alkali, agrochemical, pharmaceutical, oil-drilling and water-treatment customers in India and overseas. Its subsidiary Acume Chemicals converts bromine into higher-value derivatives (PTA catalyst, clear brine fluids, flame retardants) at a Jhagadia plant, while Idealis Mudchemie (formerly Oren Hydrocarbon) makes drilling fluids and mud chemicals. The group is also building India's first integrated Silicon Carbide compound-semiconductor fab and ATMP packaging unit near Bhubaneswar (Odisha) through subsidiary SiCSem, alongside minority stakes in UK-based Clas-SiC Wafer Fab (SiC devices) and US-based Offgrid Energy Labs (zinc-bromide battery storage).
