What Sharda Cropchem Limited does
Sharda Cropchem identifies generic agrochemical molecules going off-patent, prepares regulatory dossiers and secures product registrations in its own name, then markets and distributes the formulations and active ingredients through third-party distributors and its own sales force. It does not manufacture in-house; formulation and active-ingredient manufacturing is outsourced to third-party manufacturers and formulators (largely in China and India, with formulators also in Europe and the US), keeping the model asset-light. Beyond crop protection, it also sources and distributes non-agrochemical products such as rubber/conveyor belts, dyes and dye intermediates, and industrial chemicals, mainly from Chinese manufacturers.
