What R C F does

Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCF) is a 'Mini-Ratna' central public sector undertaking that manufactures and markets nitrogenous and complex fertilizers alongside a diversified range of industrial chemicals. It runs two integrated manufacturing complexes — Trombay in Mumbai and Thal in Raigad district (about 100 km from Mumbai) — producing Urea, complex fertilizers (Suphala), bio-fertilizers, water-soluble fertilizers, micro-nutrients and soil conditioners. Beyond its own output, RCF also trades in imported Urea, DAP, MOP and other phosphatic fertilizers, and separately produces industrial chemicals (nitric acid, ammonia, methylamines, ammonium bicarbonate, AN Melt, argon) used as inputs for dyes, pharmaceuticals, explosives, textiles and other industries. Products reach farmers through a pan-India dealer and distribution network.
