What Akums Drugs does

Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals is a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) that manufactures formulations and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) for other pharma companies, alongside its own branded formulations (Akumentis) and nutraceutical/wellness products. It operates across the pharmaceutical value chain - developing, manufacturing and supplying tablets, capsules, liquids, injectables, sterile and topical dosage forms - earning revenue mainly from CDMO manufacturing contracts with domestic and multinational pharma clients, supplemented by branded formulation sales, trade generics and API sales. The company is expanding into regulated export markets (Europe) and entered a joint venture with the Government of Zambia to set up a manufacturing plant there.
