What Chaman Metallics does

Chaman Metallics Limited, part of Raipur-based GR Group of Industries, manufactures Direct Reduced Iron (sponge iron) at its Chandrapur, Maharashtra facility using two rotary kilns, supplying induction-furnace and electric-arc-furnace steelmakers primarily in Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh. Dolochar and iron-ore fines/dust are sold as by-products. After FY25 year-end (April 2025), the company commissioned a capacity-expansion project adding MS billets (induction furnace), ferro alloys (submerged arc furnace) and a captive power plant, moving from a single-product sponge-iron unit toward a more integrated steel operation.
