What DCM Shriram Industries Limited does
DCM Shriram Industries Limited runs Daurala Sugar Works (DSW), a single integrated sugar complex in Uttar Pradesh that crushes sugarcane to produce sugar and operates a co-generation power unit alongside the mill. The same complex houses a distillery that converts cane juice, sugar syrup and molasses (B-heavy/C-heavy) into industrial alcohol and ethanol. Following a FY2025-26 Scheme of Arrangement, the company's former Chemical and Rayon undertakings were demerged into separate listed entities (DCM Shriram Fine Chemicals Limited and DCM Shriram International Limited), leaving the retained company as a pure-play sugar-distillery business.
