Ingersoll-Rand (India) Limited manufactures and sells air compressors, spare parts and components, serving Indian industrial customers as well as exporting finished goods to its US holding company. Manufacturing is based at its Naroda (Ahmedabad) factory, with a new greenfield plant being set up at Sanand, Gujarat to add a second production base. The company is 74%-owned by Ingersoll-Rand Industrial US Inc., its ultimate holding company being Ingersoll Rand Inc., USA, and it also renders and avails IT, engineering and support services from the group.
