Kandagiri Spinning Mills was incorporated in 1976 and commenced commercial yarn manufacturing that same year at its mill premises in Udayapatti, Salem, Tamil Nadu. Manufacturing was discontinued and, from 2020, the company's sole business has been the trading of yarn, buying and selling yarn (including value-added counts) rather than spinning it. It also holds a small residual parcel of windmill land, part of which was sold during FY25.
