What Oricon Enterprises Limited does
Oricon Enterprises is a Mumbai-headquartered diversified group built around three lines of business: packaging (plastic and metal caps, closures and PET preforms, historically made at Murbad and Goa plants plus a PET-preform unit in Odisha, largely housed under its Oriental Containers Ltd subsidiary), marine logistics (via 100%-owned United Shippers Ltd, offering lighterage, barging, stevedoring, warehousing and road/rail transport for dry-bulk cargo like coal and pet coke across minor ports in Gujarat and Maharashtra), and real estate (a joint-development agreement with Indiabulls Infraestate to redevelop a plot in Worli, Mumbai). The group has been shedding non-core units: it exited its petrochemicals (pentane) manufacturing business at Khopoli (assets agreed to be sold in FY24), and in FY25 it signed a Business Transfer Agreement to sell its Murbad metal-closures (crown seals and Roll-On Pilfer-Proof caps) manufacturing undertaking to Guala Closures (India), subject to completion.
