What TANFAC Industries Ltd. does

Tanfac Industries manufactures fluorine-based and inorganic chemicals - Anhydrous Hydrofluoric Acid (AHF), Solar Grade Diluted Hydrofluoric Acid, Sulphuric Acid, Potassium Fluoride and other fluorine derivatives - at a single integrated site in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu. It earns by selling these chemicals to industrial customers across sectors such as solar cells, steel surfacing, refrigerants, glass etching, agrochemicals, fluoropolymers, lithium batteries and pharmaceuticals, in both domestic and export markets. The company is backward-integrated (sourcing sulphur and fluorspar) and is forward-integrating into higher-value specialty products, including a new HFC-32 refrigerant gas line. It operates as a joint-sector company with TIDCO and Anupam Rasayan India Ltd, drawing on Anupam Rasayan's fluorination expertise and on know-how tie-ups with German, Swiss and Japanese partners.
