What Vivimed Labs Limited does

Vivimed Labs develops and manufactures generic and branded-generic pharmaceutical formulations — tablets, sachets, oral liquids and ophthalmic products — sold through export/regulated-market and domestic branded channels, and also provides contract manufacturing services to other pharmaceutical companies. It began in 1988 as a formulation contract manufacturer and later added API/bulk-drug manufacturing at Bidar, Karnataka (1991), before building out an API-CDMO subsidiary (UQUIFA) and a specialty-chemicals business through acquisitions. The company has since divested/monetised the specialty-chemicals business (personal care to Clariant in 2016; hair-dye and photochromic dyes in 2019) and its stake in UQUIFA (2020–2024), refocusing on the formulations (FDF) business.
