What Welspun Specialty Solutions Limited does
Welspun Specialty Solutions Limited (WSSL), part of the Welspun Group, is India's only fully integrated manufacturer of stainless steel and high-alloy long products, controlling the entire chain from scrap melting and steelmaking through hot extrusion to finished seamless pipes and tubes at a single facility in Bharuch (Jhagadia), Gujarat. It makes two product lines - stainless steel bars, billets and blooms, and extruded seamless pipes and tubes - in specialty grades including duplex, super-duplex, high-nickel alloys and chrome-alloy T91/P91, serving critical applications in nuclear, defence, aerospace, oil & gas, power and fertiliser industries. The company is an approved supplier to ISRO, DAE/BARC, EIL and BHEL, and its in-house testing lab is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, supporting sales to domestic and export customers across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North America and Southeast Asia. It was originally incorporated in 1980 as Remi Metals Limited and later became part of the Welspun Group, renamed Welspun Specialty Solutions Limited.
