What Sera Investments does

Sera Investments & Finance India Limited is a non-banking financial company (NBFC) that is expanding into secured retail lending for MSME/SME customers in Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns and underserved rural areas, using a hub-and-spoke model for disbursement and localised service delivery. Lending combines physical, on-ground outreach with a technology-enabled onboarding stack — an OCR-based onboarding app, real-time verification, risk-based scoring models, e-sign, co-application modules and API-integrated bank-statement analysis — to speed up turnaround and reduce onboarding risk. The company has also entered India's alternative-investments space after receiving SEBI approval to launch a Category 3 Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) with a ₹100 crore corpus. It operates through two subsidiaries: Sera Capital Services Private Limited (wholly owned) and Sera Code Private Limited (99.21% stake).
