What Capital Trust Limited does

Capital Trust Limited is an RBI-registered Base Layer NBFC incorporated in 1985 and headquartered in New Delhi, listed on both NSE and BSE. It built its original franchise in unsecured MSME lending to small shopkeepers, traders and micro-entrepreneurs in semi-urban and rural India, disbursing over ₹4,500 crore to 12 lakh+ clients through doorstep, branch-led servicing. Starting FY26, the company shifted incremental own-book lending into secured gold loans (launched October 2025) while routing MSME loan origination through Business Correspondent (BC) and co-lending partnerships instead of holding the credit risk on its own balance sheet.
