What Dhampur Sugar Mills Limited does
Dhampur Sugar Mills, founded in 1933, crushes sugarcane at two manufacturing complexes in Dhampur and Rajpura, Uttar Pradesh, producing white, branded and raw sugar. It converts cane by-products (bagasse and molasses) into co-generated power sold to the grid, and into ethanol (B-heavy, C-heavy and grain-based) through its distillery. The Dhampur unit also runs a chemicals plant making ethyl acetate and other allied chemicals, and a potable spirits business selling IMFL and country liquor, including the 'Mishti by Dhampur' brand. Cane is sourced directly from a large base of contracted sugarcane farmers in the command areas around its plants.
