Dredging Corporation of India provides maintenance and capital dredging, land reclamation, beach nourishment, inland waterways dredging and project management consultancy to major and minor ports, the Indian Navy, fishing harbours, shipyards and maritime organisations across India. It earns by deploying its own fleet of dredgers on contracts to deepen and maintain navigation channels, reclaim land from water bodies, and restore shorelines. Four Port Trusts of the Government of India are its promoter shareholders, and it has been in maritime infrastructure services since 1976.
