What GMR Urban does

GMR Power and Urban Infra Limited generates electricity from thermal, hydro, solar and wind power assets and sells it to state discoms, industrial buyers and through energy trading. Its subsidiary GMR Smart Electricity Distribution is rolling out Advanced Metering Infrastructure (smart meters) under contracts with two Uttar Pradesh discoms. Through GMR Highways it operates annuity and toll-road concessions and has executed EPC works including a section of the Dedicated Freight Corridor, and it holds a land parcel in Tamil Nadu being developed as a Special Investment Region for industrial tenants.
