What Jocil Limited does

Jocil Limited (a subsidiary of The Andhra Sugars Limited) manufactures fatty acids, Stearic Acid, toilet soap and soap noodles at its integrated plant in Dokiparru, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. Much of its Fatty Acids, Soap Noodles and Toilet Soap output is produced on a processing/tolling basis for major customers such as Hindustan Unilever, who supply the raw materials while the company earns processing charges. Glycerine and Fatty Acid Pitch are recovered as by-products of the fatty acid process. Alongside its chemicals business, the company operates a biomass power plant and four wind energy generators, selling surplus electricity to the grid/Indian Energy Exchange.
