Kanoria Chemicals & Industries Limited's Alco Chemicals Division manufactures formaldehyde, pentaerythritol, hexamine, sodium formate, phenolic resins and acetaldehyde for the construction, infrastructure, paint, pharma and agrochemicals industries, using in-house-developed process technology at plants in Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh. Its wholly owned Ethiopian subsidiary, Kanoria Africa Textiles plc (KAT), runs an integrated denim manufacturing unit. Through its material subsidiary APAG Holding AG (APAG CoSyst Group), the company also manufactures electronics for automotive and industrial OEMs in Europe and North America, though APAG's equity stake is being diluted to about 14.3% after a strategic investor (Anand Group) acquired 63% of APAG.
