What Modi Rubber does

Modi Rubber Limited was originally set up to manufacture automotive tyres, tubes, flaps and other allied rubber products at plants built in 1974 at Modipuram (Meerut) and Modinagar in Uttar Pradesh. The Modinagar plant remains under the seal of a court-appointed Official Liquidator amid a pending land-lease dispute over the industrial shed and land it was built on, and no production currently takes place at either site. The company now earns its income mainly from real-estate rentals and a commercially operated Guest House at Modipuram, along with interest, dividends and management fees from a group of subsidiary, associate and joint-venture companies it holds equity stakes in.
