Pondy Oxides and Chemicals Limited (POCL) is a non-ferrous metal and plastics recycler that converts imported and domestic scrap into lead, copper, aluminium and plastic products for industrial customers. It is one of India's major lead recyclers, producing pure lead and a range of lead alloys (calcium, tin, antimony, master and specialty grades) mainly for lead-acid battery OEMs, and holds the distinction of being India's first LME-registered (3N7 grade) lead brand. It also recycles copper scrap into products for wiring, plumbing and industrial use, recycles aluminium scrap into alloys (ADC/LM series) for the automotive sector, and manufactures engineering plastic granules (PPCP, ABS, HDPE, LDPE, PC, PPHP, Nylon 6,66) for automotive, appliance, furniture, paints and electronics customers. Scrap is sourced through a global multi-sourcing network, and finished goods are exported to multiple countries alongside domestic sales.
