What Tata Power Company Limited does
Tata Power is India's largest vertically-integrated power company, operating across generation (thermal, solar, wind, hydro and waste-heat recovery), transmission and distribution, renewables, and new-age energy solutions. It earns by selling electricity under long-term power-purchase agreements and regulated distribution tariffs, and from solar EPC, integrated cell-and-module manufacturing, rooftop solar, and EV charging services. The company distributes power to roughly 13 million customers across Mumbai, Delhi, Odisha and Ajmer, and holds coal-mining interests in Indonesia to feed its thermal fleet.
