Walchandnagar Industries manufactures high-precision engineering equipment for India's Defence, Nuclear and Aerospace (DNA) programs, supplying items such as missile motor casings, propulsion system hardware and surface launchers to DRDO, and nuclear reactor internals (calandria, end shields, moderator and hairpin heat exchangers) to NPCIL/BARC, plus sub-assemblies (booster motor casings, nozzle segments, crew escape system tanks) for ISRO's PSLV, GSLV and SSLV launch vehicles and the Gaganyaan and Chandrayaan missions. Alongside this, it runs a stable OEM engineering business making industrial gearboxes (marine, cement and sugar applications), centrifugal machines (sugar and process industries), process equipment (heat exchangers, columns, reactors, kilns) and pressure/temperature instrumentation, and operates a foundry casting grey and ductile iron components for machine tools, valves, industrial machinery, automotive and oil & gas customers. Manufacturing is carried out at facilities in Walchandnagar and Satara Road in Maharashtra, and Attikola, Dharwad in Karnataka.
