What Zuari Agro Chemicals Limited does

Zuari Agro Chemicals Limited manufactures granulated Single Super Phosphate (SSP), a phosphatic fertiliser, at its plant in Mahad, Maharashtra, importing raw materials for the process. The company previously also operated a larger fertiliser plant in Goa. It holds a 54.03% stake in Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited (MCFL), a subsidiary that runs its own urea and phosphatic fertiliser manufacturing business with an established marketing and distribution network. As of FY25, the company was in the process of divesting the Mahad SSP plant and associated business to MCFL on a slump-sale basis as part of a debt-reduction restructuring.
