It earns investment management and advisory fees computed on the average assets under management (AUM) it manages for individual and institutional investors. The company distributes its products through a multi-channel network spanning banks, national distributors, mutual fund distributors (MFDs), digital partners and direct/online channels, and also runs investor and distributor education and digital-engagement programs. It is a subsidiary arrangement between the Aditya Birla Group and Sun Life (India) AMC Investments Inc. (a Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada subsidiary), originally incorporated in 1994 as Birla Capital International AMC Limited.
